MİHRAB

Bursa Green Mosque is one of the most important early Ottoman structures with its architectural and decorative features. It was completed during the reign of Sultan Murad II. in 1422.

 

Green Mosque, famous for the harmony and nobility of its size, elegancy and abundance of its embossed decorations and glittering tiles, is one of the most beautiful artworks related to the medieval period in the east.

 

The mihrab of the structure was completely covered with tiles of colored glaze, and presents its place in the Ottoman tile art with its motifs, composition and technical features.

 

Mihrab was designed by inspiration of the patterns on the mihrab which belong to Green Mosque.

 

Using a glaze technique on handmade glassware decorated with 24 karat gold, presented with the workmanship and mastery of Decorium.
