Siirt Ulu Mosque is known by its minaret distinguished by its ceramics and brick works. Pulpit of the mosque made by using kundekari technique was moved to Ankara Etnography Museum.
This technique is defined as interlocking small wood ornament used for the manufacturing of kundekari desk and pulpit panel for properties like important door, window, cabinet doors. It is widely used in door wings, window blinds, preaching desks and especially pulpit transoms.
Selcuklu was designed by inspiration of pulpit and minaret of Siirt Ulu Mosque.
