ZERBAFT

The most valuable fabrics were included in the treasury of the Ottoman Palace; kaftans and fabrics were used to be presented to high position officers, foreign rulers, and ambassadors.

 

Kemha , seraser and  zerbaft  were among the best Ottoman Fabrics. The most valuable of all was Zerbaft, a kind of golden brocade. Fabric patterns created at the palace workshops displayed all the beauty of Ottoman Art.

 

Zerbaft was designed by inspiration of the pattern belongs to “Zerbaft” fabric which has been weaved at Palace weaving sections.

 

Using a glaze technique on handmade glassware decorated with 24 carat gold and precious stones, presented with the workmanship and mastery of Decorium.
